The Who - "Baba o'Riley" (1971)

classic rock with Renzie Baluyut.

The Who seems to have had found an appreciative set of new listeners, thanks to shows like CSI New York, which only features their classic "Baba O'Riley" each and every single episode as part of the show's opening.

The Who is one of those bands that were definitely ahead of their time, a favorite of many a true rockaholic, regardless of age.

Here's a video we found on YouTube, a clip of a live performance courtesy of gawlerpete.

Enjoy!

"Baba o'Riley" (1971)
The Who

Out here in the fields
I fight for my meals
I get my back into my living
I don't need to fight
To prove I'm right
I don't need to be forgiven

Don't cry
Don't raise your eye
It's only teenage wasteland

Sally, take my hand
And travel south 'cross land
Put out the fire
Don't look past my shoulder

The exodus is here
The happy ones are near
Let's get together
Before we get much older

Teenage wasteland
It's only teenage wasteland
Teenage wasteland
Oh, oh
Teenage wasteland
They're all wasted!
